Keynote speaker Roland Comtois will be delivering messages of hope and eternal love during the weekend’s events, including hosting his trademark “Channeled Messages for the Soul” presentation on September 9th. Roland, an experienced nurse and compassionate healer, has spent a lifetime delivering messages of hope and comfort to the people he meets. His is a mission of the heart, dedicated to finding ways to help alleviate another’s suffering through his compassion. He practiced it as a teenager when he founded a chorus of children who gave free concerts for the elderly residents of nursing homes in his home state of Rhode Island. He continued it during his years as a geriatrics nurse, helping support those who were nearing the end of their lives and the families and friends left behind. He lives it today as he shares his belief in eternal love and the healing power of spiritual communication as a Reiki master and a teacher of the metaphysical arts, a popular TV and radio guest and host of his own radio show, an inspirational medium and the author of And Then There Was Heaven: A Journey of Hope and Love.

The research was based on a detailed analysis of UKFunders’ database of around 1000 sources of funding for UK-based businesses. The majority of these funding sources invest in businesses throughout the UK, but a significant minority (413, or approximately 40%) invest in companies based on their geographical location. Many, though not all, of these geographically-focussed funds are provided by the public sector through local authorities, county councils, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) or devolved Governments.

“Many people associate landscaping with the spring, unaware that fall is the ideal time to invest in new plantings, lawns, and hardscape features” says Jim Wertz, General Manager of Wertz Landscaping, Inc. “Fall offers moderate temperatures which promote lawn germination and plant rooting before winter dormancy. Allowing the plant to root in before the spring season reduces time consuming watering during the ensuing dry summer months.”

Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2010 Award recipients qualified as two-time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2010 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

Just as American Idol used text message technology to involve the audience to participate in the voting process of contestants, small and medium size businesses can use this same kind of technology which was once out of reach until now. Text marketing is very cost effective now and with mobile phones outweighing personal computers 4 to 1, text marketing will increase dramatically within the next 5 years. Cell phone users read text messages within 15 minutes of receiving them. Mobile texts have an open rate of over 90% and when used as a mobile coupon, they have a response rate of over 30%! This is can be a game changer for most struggling businesses who are getting a 3%-5% response rate with paper coupons.
